Max is the Artistic Director of SummerStar Theatre and Professor of Theatre Arts and Communication at SUNY Orange. He has directed and designed over 100 productions. Additionally, he has produced, directed and designed plays at SUNY Orange since 1992. Recent local performances include Hamlet (Gravedigger) with the Butcher's Guild theatre; Dark Pony (father) by David Mamet; and most recently, in David Auburn's Proof (Robert) at the Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop, for which he won the statewide TANYS Best Actor Award.
