Joel is a native of Charleston, South Carolina and is currently employed at West Point. He has spent fifteen years in Germany as a U.S. Army Entertainment Specialist. While in Germany, he performed as coach/accompanist for soprano Sylvia Yorke, and toured throughout Germany in Spirituals for Peace.  He accompanied staff vocalists at the Deutsche Opera, Berlin, and was a pianist with the Theater De Westens, Berlin.  Joel was the Muscial Director for SummerStar Theatre's productions of Oliver! and The World Goes 'Round.  Joel holds a masters degree in Piano Performance.
