Candice O'Connor

Candice is no stranger to theater at Orange County Community College. As a student, Candy appeared as Rose in Street Scene, Mercy Otis Warren in An Evening With Mercy Otis Warren, and the title role in Peter Pan. She holds an A.A. degree from OCCC, a B.S. from SUNY at Oneonta, and an M.A. from Montclair State University. She is currently an OCCC faculty member in the Arts & Communication Department. Professional experience includes theme park, commercial, voice-over, murder mystery, dinner theater, and regional credits. Favorite roles include Dorothy Brock in 42nd Street, Elaine in Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Belle Starr in Diamond Studs, and Roxie Hart in Chicago. Directing credits include Sugar Babies, I Do! I Do!, and The Hot L Baltimore. She directed Sweeney Todd and Some Enchanted Evening for SummerStar Theatre and this past fall she directed The Nerd for the Apprentice Players here at SUNY Orange.
